K-Files: Chase after Kleptoma

Special Agent K sass gemuetlich vor ihrer morgendlichen Tasse Kaffe, als ploetzlich die Stille von einem schrillen Geraeusch unterbrochen wurde. Es war der geheime Transmitter mit einer noch geheimeren Botschaft: Aus sicherer Quelle haben wir erfahren, dass Kleptoma, die gefuerchtetste aller miesen fiesen Ganoven, entkommen ist - STOPP - Sie hat schon neue Bosheiten geplant - STOPP - Sie wird versuchen die Geschichte zu veraendern - STOPP - Augenzeugen sollen sie in Philadelphia gesehen haben - STOPP - Kleptoma wird versuchen die Liberty Bell zu stehlen - STOPP - Special Agent K, wir brauchen Ihre Hilfe - STOPP - Sie sind jetzt die einzige Person, die diesen Superboesewicht stoppen koennen - STOPP - Begeben Sie sich unverzueglich nach Philadelphia - STOPP - Diese Nachricht wird sich in 5 Sekunden selbst zerstoeren - ENDE.

Special Agent K was sitting cosyly in front of her morning coffee, when suddenly the silence was interupted by a shrill noise. It was the secret transmitter with an even more secret message: From a reliable source we got the information, that Kleptoma, the most dreaded of all the bad evial criminals, escaped - STOP - She has already planednew wicked malices - STOP - She is trying to change history - STOP - Eye witnesses should have seen her in Philadelphia - STOP - Kleptoma will try to steal the Liberty Bell - STOP - Special Agent K, we need your help - STOP - You are now the only person, who can stop this super villain - STOP - Go immidately to Philadelphia - STOP - This message will destroy itself in 5 seconds -END.

Ohne weiteres Zoegern machte sich unsere geniale und unuebertroffenen Ermittlerin auf den Weg um Kleptomas Plaene zu durchkreuzen.

In Philadelphia angekommen traf Special Agent K wie erwartet auf die Superganovin und konnte in letztem Moment den Diebstahl der Glocke vereiteln. Leider konnte Kleptoma durch die Liberty Hall entkommen.

Without any further hesitations, our brilliant and unsurpassable investigator was on her way to cross Kleptomas plans.

In Philadelphia Special Agent K met, as expected, our super crook and was able to frustrate the theft of the bell. Unfortunately Kleptoma could escape through Liberty Hall.

Zurueckgelassene Spuren am Tatort liessen jedoch darauf schliessen, dass ihr naechster Stopp Washington DC sei. Aber was koennte sie dort wohl vorhaben? Ja, natuerlich. Es kann nichts anderes sein, als das wichtigste Dkoument der Nation - die Unabhaengigkeitserklaerung. Also ab nach Washington DC.

Left items at the scene of the crime let conclude that her next stop might be Washington DC. But what is she going to do there? Sure! It can't be anything else than the nations most important document - the Declaration of independence. So let's got to Washington DC.

Durch unvorhergesehene Umstaende dauerte die Reise laenger als erhofft und so konnte Special Agent K nur noch mehr den Ruecken von Kleptoma erhaschen. In Haenden hielt sie, oh wie schrecklich, die Unabhaengigkeitserklaerung. Es kam zu einer wilden Verfolgungsjagd quer durch die Stadt.

Unfortunately this journey took longer as expected and so Special Agent K could just see Kleptomas back. She was holding, oh my god, the Declaration of Independence. What followed was a tremendous chase through the city.

Die ganze Nacht lang, vorbei an all den wichtigen Gebaeuden und Monumenten, bis zum naechsten Morgen.

It lasted the whole night, passing all those important hostorical buildings and monuments, till the morning sun rose.

Schliesslich und endlich konnte Special Agent K Kleptoma vor dem FBI Building stellen und ihr das wichtige Dokument abnehmen.

Finally Special Agent K was able to capture Kleptoma in front of the FBI Building and relieved the Declaration of Independece from her.

Da es sich bei Kleptoma um die fiese miese Superganovin schlechthin kandelt, schaffte sie es wieder einmal zu entkommen und sich nach Kanada abzusetzten um dort weiter ihr Unwesen zu treiben.

Because our agent had to deal with a wicked villain, Kleptoma somehow managed to escape once again and fled to Canada to commit further crimes.

Die Nation zwar gerettet aber immer noch nicht zufreiden, haftete sich unsere geniale Agentin K weiterhin auf ihre Fersen.

Saving the nation was not enough for our super investigator so she betook herself to Kleptomas heels.

Die weitere Jagd beinhaltete eine Verfolgung mit eriner Kutsch in Pennsylvannia bei den Amish People.

The following chase contained a wild trace with a carriage by the Amish People in Pennsylvannia.

An der kanadischen Grenze bei den Niagara Faellen konnte Special Agent K Kleptoma in die Enge treiben, doch wieder einmal schaffte sie es mit einem waghalsigen und unmoeglichen Sprung die Faelle hinab zu entkommen.

At the canadian border Special Agent K could corner the crook but one more time this criminal escaped with a daredevil and impossible jump down the Niagara Falls.

Berechnungen zufolge muesste die Berufsverbrecherin bis nach Toronto gespuelt worden sein. und genau diese Stadt hatte die Ganovin auch im Sinn anzusteuern! Sie wollte in die total geheime Kammer im CN Tower einbrechen und deren Inhalt, wo niemand genau weiss worum es sich handelt, an sich reissen. Durch einen genialen Schachzug gelang es Special Agent K ein weiteres Mal ihre Plaene zu durchkreuzen!

Due to callculations, the professional villain had to be flushed to Toronto. And exactly that city was planned to be the next target by Kleptoma. She wanted to brake into the secret chamber high up inside the CN Tower and steal the even more secret content, which no one really knows what it consists of. Because of a brilliant play Special Agent K once more crossed her plans.

Kelptomas Flucht fuehrte sie in dei Einoede Kanadas und durch den Algonquin National Park bis nach Ottawa.

Kleptoma's flight went through the middle of nowhere in Canada - the Algonquin National Park and further to Ottawa.

In Ottawa nutzte die Ganovin die verspiegelten hochhaeuserfassaden perfekt als Tarnung und fluechtete weiter nach Montreal.

In Ottawa this mad criminal used the reflection of the enormous buildings to hide and going fleeing further to Montreal.

Montreal war ein reines Gewirr aus Strasse. Da die miese fiese Verbrecherin kein Franzoesisch spricht suchte sie schnell das Weite.

Montreal was a maze of streets. Because the super villain can't speak a word French, she continued her escape.

Kleptoma landete in Quebec und suchte Unterschlupf in dem bombastischen Chateau Frontenac. Doch Special Agent K blieb ihr dicht auf den Fersen. Es kam zu einer spektakulaeren Jagd quer durch die mit Pflastersteinen geschmueckten franzoesischen Gassen.

She arrived in Quebec and hid in the Chateau Frontenac. But Special Agent K followed each of her steps and a big chase through little french alleys started.

Um ihren Plan endlich fortzufuehren musste die Berufsdiebin wieder zurueck in die Staaten und quer durch den Arcadia National Park.

To fullfill her plan, the villain had to return to the US,s traight through the Arcadia National Park.

Bis sie schliesslich Boston erreichte. Durch einen zugegebenermassen genial hinterhaeltigen Plan gelang es Kelptoma im Bostoner Hafen, wo damals die Revolution und die Moston Tea Party statt fand, das Schiff USS COnstitution zu stehlen und davon zu segeln.

Until she finally reached Boston. We must admitt, because of her really brilliant play, Kleptoma was able to reach the Harbor in Boston, where in former times the revolution and the Boston Tea Party tool place, to steal the ship USS Constituion and to sail away.

So leicht laesst sich Special Agent K jedoch nicht unterkriegen und sie nahm die Verfolgung mit Hilfe des Schiffs Mayflower II aus dem Hafen in Plymouth auf.

But Special Agent K was not giving up and started chasing after her with help from the ship Mayflower II from the Harbor in Plymouth.

Am offenen Meer kam es zu einem heissen Gefecht! Nach stundenlangem gegenseitigen bombadieren und Geragne, gelang es Special Agent K schliesslich und endlich doch noch Kleptoma gefangen zu nehmen und verurteilen zu lassen!

At open sea a big battle started! After nay hours Specail Agent K was finally able to catch Kleptoma and get her to the court.

Special Agent K war wieder einmal erfolgreich. Doch in einer Sache koennt ihr euch sicher sein, dies. Dies war nicht die letzte von den K-Files. Weitere werden sicher noch folgen!!!

Special Agent K succeeded once more! But if you can be sure about one thing, then it might be the fact, that this was definitely not the last of the K-files. Others will follow!!!

Chapter 23: Big Apple NY

NEW YORK CITY

Die Stadt, die immer in Bewegung ist! Hinter jeder Ecke lauert etwas Neues, Aufregendes, was, das man aus dem Fernsehen kennt und es wartet nur von uns gefunden zu werden :-). Es gibt so vieles zu entdecken oder wie es wir auch nennen - zu erschnuppern. Man koennte also NY auch die Stadt der Gerueche nennen. In den Nobelvierteln richt es angenehm nach Parfum oder Geld, in den Restaurantgegenden stosst die Nase auf die herrlichsen Duefte, in dem Parks nach Blumen, ... - und leider stinkt es aber auch ueberall nach Abgasen und sonstig ekligen Sachen!!!

The city, which is always in motion! Behind every corner something new, exciting, something you know from the TV is lurking and waiting to be found by us :-). There is so much to be discovered or, how we call it - to be smelled. You could also call NY the city of smell. In the noble quarters there are fine fragrancies , the restaurant streets are full of different and yummy odors, in the parks you can smell flowers, ... - and unfortunaltely everywhere else you have got the stench of pollution and the tang of other ugly things!!!

Chapter 22: Viva Las Vegas

Vor langer langer Zeit enstand mitten in der Wueste Nevadas, nicht weit entfernt von Death Valley, ein kleines verschlafenes Mormonenstaedtchen, genannt Las Vegas. Und im Laufe der Zeit sollte dies Ansiedlung zur Weltkapitale des Glueckspiels und Entertainments werden.

Long time ago, in the middle of the desert of Nevada, not far away from Death Valley, arose a dozy Mormon village, called Las Vegas. In the course of time should become out of this settlement the world captial of gambling and entertainment.

Kartenspieler, Gaukler, Gangster und Entertainer kamen alle in das kleine Staedtchen und so wurde ein Casino nach dem anderen gebaut, sowie Saloons und Hotels.

Card player, gambler, impostors, gangster and entertainer were coming to this little city and so one casino after the other was built, as well as saloons and hotels.

Erst entstand Downtown Las Vegas mit der bekannten Fermont Street und dem Frontier - der winkende Cowboy.

First emerged Downtowm Las Vegas with the well known Fermont Street and the Frontier - the waving cowboy.

Erst spaeter, als Las Vegas nur noch mehr von zwielichten Gestalten und Kriminellen heimgesucht wurde, siedelten sich immer mehr Hotels - groesser, bunter, einzigartiger als je zuvor - am "Las Vegas Blvd", im Volksmund auch "Strip" genannt, an.

Only later, when Las Vegas was beleaguered from strange figures and criminals, more and more hotels - bigger, brighter, more extraordinary then ever - settled down on the "Las Vegas Blvd", or people also called it the "Strip".

Bei Nacht ein buntes Lichtermeer und es faellt einem schwer sich zu entscheiden, wo man als erstes hinschauen soll.

During the night it's a colourful and bright sea of lights and it is hard to decide where to look first.

Und was waere Las Vegas, wenn man nicht auch sein Glueck versucht! Es koennte ja sein, das man diejenige Person ist, die den Jackpot knackt. (Diesmal durfte ich auch spielen, damals vor drei Jahren, war ich ja noch ein junger Huepfer :-) - Karin).

In unserem Fall traf das jedoch leider nicht zu aber wir hatten trotzdem extrem viel Spass!!!

And what would Las Vegas be, if you didn't try your luck! It could happen and you are the one person, who gets the jackpot. (This time I was allowed to play, because three years ago I was still to young :-) - Karin).
In our case, we were not that lucky but anyway, we had lots of fun!!!

Chapter 21: Californication

LOS ANGELES

Endlich in Amerika angekommen wurden wir gleich einmal von Karin's Tante, die in einem Vorort von Los Angeles wohnt, abgeholt.

Was waere Californien ohne Straende. Zum Glueck sind wir nicht weit davon entfernt.

Finally America. We were picked up by Karin's aunt, who is living in a nice suburb of LA.

California wouldn't be the same without beaches. Luckily we are not far away.

Wenn man in Los Angeles ist, darf man auf keinen Fall HOLLYWOOD verpassen. Karin hat das ganze ja schon vor drei Jahren gesehen, als sie 3 Monate hier verbrachte, aber fuer Kerstin war alles neu und aufregend.

If you are in Los Angeles, you must not miss HOLLYWOOD. Karin saw everything three years ago, while she spent three months here, but for Kerstin everything was new and exciting.

Wenn man in Amerika ist, muss man zumindest in einem der vielen Freizeitparks gewesen sein. Wir fuhren nach Sea World in San Diego.

If you are in America, you must visit at least one Theme Park. We went to Sea World in San Diego.

Natuerlich liessen wir es uns nicht nehmen und fuhren mit einer Cable Car.

Das Strassensystem geht wirklich staendig auf und ab.
